PlasmaCare

About This Project

Hard-to-heal wounds are a serious medical problem negatively impacting patient wellbeing, can be very challenging for clinicians to manage and costly to health providers.

plasmaCare intends to solve this problem by introducing a small, portable and battery-operated device for the treatment of chronic and acute wounds. It incorporates innovative cold plasma technology which is a disruptive wound therapy that can save healthcare costs by facilitating early discharge from hospital, reducing wound dressing frequency and nursing time and promote a faster healing process. Besides ensuring a sufficient supply of oxygen, it also helps to avoid further infections which is the most important criterion for ensuring fast and uncomplicated wound healing.
