Oligonucleotides provide potential for new breakthrough treatments and cures for many untreatable diseases and disorders. The major obstacle preventing widespread usage of oligonucleotide therapeutics is commercial scale production of oligonucleotides. For example, although there were potential oligonucleotide-based drugs for Covid-19, no existing method to manufacture such medications quickly at the required large scale and at reasonable costs was available, and hence they were not a feasible solution.
Nanostar Sieving technology for the first time allows large-scale (ton-volume) manufacturing of exact oligonucleotides with unprecedented precision at low costs.
