Transcatheter Ventricular Repair Device for treatment of Heart Failure Patients

Industry: Medical

Country: Israel

Heart failure (HF) affects millions of people worldwide, posing a serious health challenge. One key cause of HF is a heart attack, which leads to changes in the heart’s structure. This causes the heart’s ventricle to enlarge, reducing its ability to pump blood efficiently and displacing the papillary muscle. As a result, about 20% of patients develop severe Functional Mitral Regurgitation (FMR) and need treatment. Unfortunately, the other 80% of patients, who do not develop severe FMR, are left without treatment options, suffering ongoing health issues and facing a high risk of death.

Cardiac Success aims to fill this gap with the V-Sling system, a transcatheter ventricular repair device designed to improve heart function in HF patients. The project’s goals include finalizing product design, completing testing, and starting the First-in-Human (FIH) study. The V-Sling system offers new hope for HF patients, aiming to provide better treatment options and improve their quality of life.
